Collection: Osteoporosis
Adjuvant protocol for osteoporosis (adult)
Important: this protocol does not replace the treatment prescribed by the doctor (bisphosphonates, denosumab, teriparatide, etc. where appropriate), but can complement it.
1. Vitamin D3 + K2 + Magnesium bisglycinate
- Vitamin D3 dose: 5000 - 10000 IU/day (depending on serum 25(OH)D level, target > 40-50 ng/mL). Periodically (every 6-8 months) dose vitamin D in the blood and if it reaches around 100 ng/mL, stop. When it drops to or below 60 ng/mL, resume.
- Vitamin K2 dose: 100 mcg/day
- Dosage Magnesium bisglycinate: 500 mg/day
- Timing: with a meal containing fat (olive oil, avocado, nuts).
2. Calcium (if diet does not provide enough)
- Target: 1000-1200 mg/day total (from diet + supplement).
- Favorite food sources: aged cheese, yogurt, sardines, green vegetables, almonds, sesame seeds.
- Supliment: doar daca aportul alimentar e < 700 mg/zi.
3. Shilajit purified, standardized (20% fulvic acid)
- Guideline dose from studies: 500 mg/day.
- Time: morning or midday, dissolved in a glass of warm water or vegetable milk.
- Role: stimulates osteoblasts, reduces bone resorption, increases mineral bioavailability.
4. Zeolit Spectrum (Zeolit PMA)
- Dose: 6 cp/day.
- Time: 3 cp in the morning and 3 in the evening
-
Role: balances bone remodeling and reduces the risk of fractures.
Studies on the effect of PMA zeolite in osteoporosis:
Food supplements do not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Food supplements do not cure and cannot replace treatments prescribed by a doctor.
